Clinical Safety and Governance at Pulse and Clarity Clinic
How we keep care safe at our CQC registered Bradford clinic: who is accountable, how treatments are governed, and what happens if something needs escalation.
Is Pulse & Clarity Clinic CQC registered?
Is Pulse & Clarity Clinic CQC registered?
Yes — we are registered with the Care Quality Commission for diagnostic and screening procedures and the treatment of disease, disorder or injury. Our registration was granted in June 2026 and we are awaiting our first inspection.
Who oversees clinical care at the clinic?
Care is led by our Independent Prescribing Pharmacist and Clinical Director, Salim Miah, with independent governance from our GP and Medical Governance Lead, Dr Karen Skinner, and a Lead Sonographer for our scanning service.
Is laser hair removal regulated by the CQC?
No — laser hair removal is a non-surgical aesthetic treatment and is not a CQC-regulated activity in England. We deliver it to the same clinical standards as our regulated services, including consultation and patch testing.
What happens if my scan or test result finds something concerning?
We explain the finding clearly, document it, and signpost you to the appropriate NHS or GP pathway. Urgent findings are escalated promptly.
Do private scans replace NHS antenatal care?
No. Private scans can provide reassurance and convenience but are not a replacement for NHS antenatal screening or urgent medical care.
Is the clinic safe if it has not been inspected yet?
CQC registration means we have met the requirements to provide regulated services and operate within a formal governance framework. Our consent, safeguarding, infection-control and escalation standards apply from day one, not from the inspection date.
Where is the clinic, and is it private?
We are at Unit 24 Campus Road, Listerhills Science Park, Bradford, BD7 1HR, with free on-site parking and a calm, private setting.
We are always happy to talk something through — there is no pressure and no obligation, just clear and honest answers.
